Delivery & client roles
Hire a Remote Project Manager for Your Agency or Team
A remote project manager turns a busy, reactive team into one that ships on time. For agencies, the same profile often doubles as an account or project manager who keeps clients informed and work moving. We recruit project managers in Pakistan, screen them on real delivery scenarios and introduce a shortlist for you to interview.

When Everyone Is Busy but Nothing Ships on Time
As teams grow, delivery gets harder to hold together. Requests arrive by email, Slack and calls. Specialists are booked across too many projects. Deadlines are missed not because people aren’t working, but because nobody is tracking dependencies, chasing approvals or saying no to scope creep.
Founders and senior specialists usually fill the gap, managing projects in their spare time. That pulls them away from strategy, sales and the craft work clients actually pay for.
A dedicated remote project manager owns the plan: who is doing what, by when, and what’s at risk. In agencies, they also become the steady point of contact clients rely on.
Typical symptoms
- Founders chasing status updates themselves
- Clients asking “where are we?” too often
- Scope creeping without change requests
- Specialists double-booked across projects
- Project boards nobody trusts
What a Remote Project Manager Takes Ownership Of
-
Scoping and planning
Breaking projects into tasks and milestones, estimating effort with the team and building realistic timelines.
-
Scheduling and resourcing
Allocating work across designers, developers, editors and specialists, and spotting capacity problems early.
-
Client and account management
Running client check-ins, sharing progress, managing feedback rounds and handling change requests for agency accounts.
-
Status reporting
Weekly reports and dashboards that show progress, risks and decisions needed, without leadership having to ask.
-
Risk and scope control
Tracking dependencies, escalating blockers and keeping additional requests visible so budgets and timelines hold.
-
Process and tooling
Setting up and maintaining your project management tool, templates and workflows so the team works the same way.
Project Management Skills and Tools We Assess
Project management is easy to describe and hard to do well, so we screen through scenarios rather than certificates alone. Candidates walk us through a project they ran: the plan, what went wrong and how they recovered. We probe how they handled conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders.
Shortlisted candidates complete a short planning exercise, such as turning a loose client brief into a timeline with milestones, owners and risks, plus a written client update about a delay. That shows structure, judgment and tone in one task.
Many of the projects they’ll run involve builds and content. It helps if your project manager understands how a remote web developer or a remote video editor works, and we screen for relevant domain experience where it matters.
Tools and methods we check
- Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com or Trello
- Jira and Agile or Scrum practices
- Notion or Confluence documentation
- Gantt charts and timeline planning
- Client-facing calls and written updates
- Budget and hours tracking
Hiring a Remote Project Manager: The Process
Our recruitment process, tuned for delivery and client-facing roles.
-
Step 1: Understand how you deliver
We learn what kind of projects you run, your tools, team structure, whether the role is client-facing and how much overlap with your hours is needed.
-
Step 2: Source relevant experience
We look for project and account managers in Pakistan who have managed similar work, such as agency accounts, web builds or product teams.
-
Step 3: Scenario screening
Candidates discuss real projects and complete a planning and client-update exercise. We also assess spoken English for client calls.
-
Step 4: You interview the shortlist
You meet the shortlisted candidates with our notes and exercise results, and can run your own scenario if you wish.
-
Step 5: Hire and placement fee
You select your project manager and agree terms directly. The one-time placement fee applies under your recruitment agreement.
For the core steps every role follows, see how our hiring process works.
What You Pay
GV Staffing charges a one-time placement fee for each successful hire, not a monthly management fee. For project managers, the fee reflects seniority and scope, for example a project coordinator compared with an experienced agency account manager.
We agree the fee, payment trigger, payment terms and any replacement policy in your recruitment agreement before the search begins. Your project manager works directly for your business, and you agree their pay and terms with them.
Why Hire Project Managers From Pakistan
Pakistan’s digital services sector has produced many project and account managers who coordinate work for clients abroad. They are used to running remote teams through project tools, documenting decisions in writing and leading calls in English.
A project manager working a few hours ahead of your team can prepare the day’s priorities, chase overnight updates and have a clear status ready when you log on, with overlap hours for client calls agreed per role.

Roles Project Managers Often Lead

-
Executive assistants
Support for leaders while your project manager runs delivery.
Can a remote project manager handle client calls?
Yes, and for agency roles it’s usually essential. We assess spoken English and client communication during screening, and you’ll judge it yourself in interviews. Agree the overlap hours needed for client calls during role definition so we only shortlist candidates who can cover them.
What’s the difference between a project manager and an account manager?
A project manager focuses on delivery: plans, timelines and resources. An account manager focuses on the client relationship: communication, satisfaction and growth. In many agencies one person does both. Tell us how the role splits and we’ll screen accordingly.
Do candidates need a project management certification?
Not necessarily. Recognised certifications can be a useful signal, and we can make one a requirement. For most agency and startup roles, proven delivery experience and good judgment matter more, so we test those directly through scenarios.
Will they work in our project management tool?
Yes. Your project manager works in your tools, whether that’s Asana, ClickUp, Jira, Monday.com or something else. If your setup needs improving, an experienced hire can also help restructure boards, templates and workflows.
Can a remote project manager oversee an in-house team?
Yes. Many manage mixed teams of in-house and remote staff. Success depends on clear authority, access to the right meetings and agreed overlap hours, so define those during role setup and make the project manager’s responsibilities visible to the whole team.
